The Athabasca Basin region of Saskatchewan and Alberta is seeing a surge in uranium exploration activity. North Shore holds two uranium exploration properties totaling 60,210 hectares at the eastern margin of the Basin, Falcon and West Bear.
Canada is the second leading producer of uranium in the world behind Kazakhstan, and 100% of the uranium produced in Canada comes from two Athabasca Basin mines, McCarthur River and Cigar Lake. Ore from the two mines is processed at two active uranium mills, Key Lake and McClean Lake.
